Bread Making Courses

This course is designed for busy people who would like to make their own bread on a regular basis.  It will hopefully show you how to adapt recipes to fit in with a busy lifestyle and include a number of tips to enable you to enjoy warm fresh bread on a daily basis with minimal work....

Most mornings I bake fresh bread for the Olive Tree guests. One of the most popular is soda bread which suits me fine as it comes under the category of "quick breads" using bicarbonate of soda as a raising agent rather than yeast.

Quite a number of guests have asked to take a copy of the recipe home which pleases me greatly until they add,

"Of course I'll probably never do it; I'm useless at that sort of thing."

I reassure them that it really is very straightforward, but maybe it isn't if you are unfamiliar with how dough should look and feel.

It has therefore been suggested that I show people how to do it!

A half day course running from around 11am until 3-4pm including a light lunch will include varieties of yeast bread tailored to participants particular interests, quick breads such as soda bread, flatbread recipes which will ensure you never buy packet naan again, artisan no knead breads and anything else you would like to learn about .

The course is available to residents and non-residents, and I am happy to give demonstrations (with audience participation!) in your own home if it's relatively local to you and a few friends.

Reasonably priced, e-mail me with your particular requirements and interests at kindredspirits@blueyonder.co.uk
